9 May: Lunch of the Month is back with a vengeance
After a fabulous lunch at the Lae Yacht Club last month, we are now preparing for our May lunch, which will be at House 1 on the InterOil Compound at 9 Mile.  This month we go back to our 12pm start time, and a bus will be provided running from the Golf Club at 11.30am.

chilli

We have pulled out all the stops for this one.  We have a couple of special ladies who are going to cook for you a fantastic and wholly authentic Thai meal, not too hot but with chilli on the side for those that love a little more spice.  We have come up with some great raffle prizes and we will be repeating our donation raffle of Andersons vouchers, as this proved very popular last month and the proceeds will be going to a very good cause, namely the Morobe Special Education Resource Centre.

So come and join us on May 9th for what we are enthusiastically working hard to make a very special event.  There will be a little surprise with a Thai flavour that I know you will enjoy.  It will be BYO alcohol, but there may be a little tipple of appropriate flavours provided to begin the lunch on the right note!  And with a name like “THAI KITCHEN RULZ” how could you resist.  Tickets are on sale at Brian Bell’s right now.

11 May: TISOL Market Day
The Tisol P&F would like to advise that it is holding the first “Market Day” of 2013 on Saturday the 11th of May from 8.30am to

noon. This is the day before Mother’s Day, so it gives a perfect opportunity for Dads to come shopping for something different.

Last year was as huge success for the school, and everyone attending had a wonderful time purchasing the cakes, coffee and other items available.

Unlike previous years when we have held either a “Craft Market” or “Garage Sale”, we have decided to combine the two sothat people can sell whatever they want. So, put on your thinking caps, get crafty, get baking, get gardening, OR just get rid of some unwanted items around your house and organise yourself a stall.

It is also a great opportunity for Charity Groups to have a stall for fundraising.

Table stalls are K50 each. Artifact stalls (on the footpath within the car park area) are K10 each. The cost of entry is K2.00 per adult. Children are free, but must be accompanied by an adult.

If you need further information, please contact me directly on carolyn_pelgen@hotmail.com (please don’t email the Early Chicks email as it is rarely checked) or contact the school on 4791425.
